Originally from Bordeaux, Safir has lived and traveled extensively, including in China, Thailand, Morocco and now the United States. He speaks English, Arabic, French and Mandarin Chinese, and has taught French, English, Chinese and STEM subjects to K-12 students. Safir has a master’s of education in teaching Chinese from Sichuan University in Chengdu, China, as well as bachelor’s degrees from the University of Michel Montaigne in Bordeaux (Arabic language and culture), INALCO in Paris (education and Chinese), and St. John’s University in New York (early childhood education). Safir moved to Seattle with his family last June. He loves music and sports, plays the guitar, and in his free time, he also enjoys surfing, snowboarding and hiking.
